How we frame our maps

All of our maps are framed to order in our Somerset studio.

We frame our maps without glass allowing the quality of the print to remain. Light plays off the metallics of the seas and the gloss-varnished landmasses, adding a great surface finish to the map. Covering with glass would add glare and reflection, so we treat our maps like you would an oil painting.


The maps are all finished with a sealer which protects the inks, allowing your map to be gently wiped down with a damp cloth. The map is dry mounted onto a backing board, for support, and framed using a strong yet light, aluminium profile.
