All of our maps are printed using a lithographic printing process to give bold colours and shimmering metallics.
Our paper maps are printed on premium FSC-certified silk-coated paper using traditional lithographic printing. Often described as a mechanised form of screen printing, lithography creates exceptional colour depth, sharpness and detail by printing each colour separately from its own printing plate.
This meticulous process produces a richness and clarity that is difficult to achieve through other printing methods. Once printed, the maps are sealed to protect the inks, while selected features are enhanced using gloss UV varnish to add contrast, depth and visual interest.
